Our Island Magic spell / witch bottles are The Sea Wych Salem' love letter to McGee Island in Maine. These bottles are lovingly crafted with shells, sea glass, beach quartz, and other sacred beach stones that she personally foraged on the shores of McGee. If you're new to the site, take some time to read the essays she wrote during her stay as part of The Salty Quill Women Writers Retreat in 2025. McGee has become her personal Avalon - a sacred space hidden from the world. It is her place to rest, reset, reconnect deeply to her magic. It's a safe harbour and a place where slow living is embraced. Each day stretches out before her and lasts a lifetime, although the end of the stay always comes too soon.
This bottle is our gift to you - a way for you to channel the magic of McGee and to return to your own salt, soul, and centre. If you need to take a breath, slow down, and linger in safe harbours, this bottle is for you. Create your own sanctuary in whatever space this bottle is needed most, and channel clarity and calm, quiet solitude, introspection, meditation, reflection, and a deep, deep connection with the natural world.
